| HOW WE CREATE A SHOW |
| Planning | ||
| In small groups students plan the segment they will be videoing and writing an introductory segment for. The segments can be a report on an event that is occurring in the school or they can create their own. All planning is written on the Running Sheet | ||
| Editing |
| Once the video has been taken of
the event and the reporters have gathered their information, the footage
is edited. iMovie software on the iMac is very easy for the students to use and the results are very professional. |
| Production |
| Completed segments are placed onto one VHS video tape in order according to the running sheet. A script is completed on computer which includes the introductions to the segments and the connecting host scripts. The completed script is used as an autocue on a computer for the hosts and guests to read. The live segments and video segments are compiled together using a combination of cameras, video switcher and VCR's. | ||
| Performing |
| Using a video projector and
large screen, the whole school community benefits from the completed
performance
Green Screen is used to transform the performers to any setting they desire. Students can use their own drawings, still images and movies to help their performances become more interesting and realistic. |
